Let’s Explore The Possible Methods For Acquiring Clone Minifigures To Complete Your Intricate LEGO® MOC
To kick this guide off, we are going to explore to main methods for building a LEGO® Clone Army for the low: Using genuine LEGO® minifigs, and perhaps deviating from the Golden Path by choosing knock-off clone minifigures. Both will get you what you need for your Star Wars LEGO® MOC (My Own Creation).
Selecting The Best Affordable LEGO® Clone Sets On The Market
Listen, I am not a stickler for following the rules. But, if you want to do this right, you will spend just a touch extra for genuine LEGO® minifigures. If you really care about the detail and printing for your Clone Army minifigs (I would) these sets are the most affordable to help you build your own Kamino Legion:
LEGO® Star Wars AT-TE Walker 75337
A smidge more expensive, but is affordable comparatively.
In this set, you get five total clone troopers: Commander Cody, a 212th Clone Gunner and 3 212th Clone Troopers. All are well printed and newly designed in Phase II LEGO® printing. Also, you can’t go wrong with a LEGO® AT-TE build to add depth and moving artillery to the ranks of your MOC.
The price hovers around $111-$120, and in terms of what you get for what you pay, it is quite affordable.
LEGO® Star Wars Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack 75372
Incredible. Cheap. A Clone Army MOC within itself.
This is easily one of my favorite LEGO® Star Wars Battle Packs from 2024 — and all time. you get another four clone trooper: A Clone Shock Trooper, 3 Clone Troopers. All are well-detailed and come with blasters. Between this set and the AT-TE before, you will also inadvertently build a LEGO® Droid Army and have enough artillery/tanks to build a MOC of the Battle for Geonosis from Episode II.
This set is super affordable at $29.99 on Amazon right now. It is an exceptional price point!
LEGO® Star Wars 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack 75345
Cheapest of all and the best Clone Army minifigures.
Is it a bad practice to say every LEGO® Star Wars Battle Pack is my favorite ever to come out? Truthfully, they all are amazing. I have a write-up on the affordable LEGO® Star Wars 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack 75345, where I rave about this marvelous set. Listen, you get four, detailed 501st LEGO® Clone Trooper minifigures and an AV-7 Republic Cannon that also makes your Clone Army feel real.
At a price point of $15.99 (sometimes $19.99 it’s on sale right now), you could spend under $200.00 and easily get 44 clone troopers — that’s a start!
LEGO® Star Wars 332nd Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper Battle Pack 75359
LEGO® Ahsoka sets and anything related to her theme are worthy of your Clone Army.
While this is not directly related to LEGO® Ahsoka sets with the Anakin padawan turned Master Jedi, this set does come with LEGO® Clone Captain Vaughn, three 332nd Clone Troopers, plus a blaster rifle, three shorter blasters and two jetpack accessories. Plus, all the helmets are finely printed with orange 332nd clone accents.
Like the 501st Battle Pack, this set is $15.99 (usually around $19.99 but also on sale) and is a super affordable set to stack and build your LEGO® Clone Army for dirt cheap!
Should LEGO® Republic Gunships Be Part Of Your Army?
If you are trying to keep your build affordable, I wouldn’t recommend stacking with a LEGO® Republic Gunship now. Those behemoths are easily $130+ (on the cheaper end). If you want to stick to inexpensive methods for your LEGO® Clone Army, you are going to want to purchase LEGO® Battle Packs only.
What About That Clone Trooper Command Station I Hear A Lot About?
The LEGO® 40558 Star Wars Clone Trooper Command Station is a detailed and masterfully released set. That is exactly why I have not provided a direct link to the purchase. However, the picture is still clickable and purchasable if you desire it…
Listen, this set came out with an OG yellow-accented LEGO® Clone Commander and two Phase I LEGO® Clone Troopers taken right out of the Battle for Geonosis. It’s great! But it is retired. It came out for $14.99 and would have easily made itself #1 on this list a year ago.
Now, it has ballooned in pricing and is up to $25-$45.00 on third-party platforms. It is simply too expensive right now, and the options above are better!
What About Some Knock Off LEGO® Clone Troopers?
Okay, seriously? Go big or go home. If you are going to buy LEGO® Clone Troopers, buy clone troopers. Yes, these are much more affordable, but you really have no idea what kind of quality you are going to get. I haven’t personally bought these because I worry about them withering away in a box after breathing on them.
Use This Guide To Build A Cost-Effective Clone Army With 200,000 Units And A Million More On The Way!
Honestly, just stick to a LEGO® Star Wars Battle Pack or two, and you will be able to build yourself an affordable LEGO® Clone Army. I recommend a handful of the sets above, and truthfully recommend staying away from knock of LEGO® Especially, if you want this army to last!
