The Biggest LEGO® Set Ever Just Got Dethroned In 2026…Don’t Worry, I Won’t Keep You Waiting And I Am Starting With The New King!
So, what is the biggest LEGO® set? For five years the answer was the World Map — but June 2026 flipped the leaderboard upside down. These are the top four biggest LEGO® sets ever made, ranked in the order of the most pieces:
- LEGO® Architecture 21065 Sagrada Família – 12,060 pieces (Releases November 2026)
2. LEGO® Art 31203 World Map – 11,695 pieces (Released 2021)
3. LEGO® Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower – 10,001 pieces (Released 2022)
4. LEGO® Icons 10294 Titanic – 9,090 pieces (Released 2021)
The New Biggest LEGO® Set Ever: Sagrada Família 21065
Sheesh. LEGO® really woke up in June 2026 and said “let’s break the record books.” The LEGO® Architecture Sagrada Família (21065) clocks in at an absolutely outrageous 12,060 pieces — the first LEGO® set ever to cross the 12,000-piece line. It dethrones the World Map by 365 pieces, which feels poetic. One piece for every day of the year you’ll spend building it (kidding…mostly).
The set recreates Antoni Gaudí’s famously unfinished Barcelona basilica — and honestly, the timing is perfect since 2026 marks 100 years since Gaudí’s passing. The model stands over 24 inches high with a stained-glass window effect that mimics how light moves through the real building. It is genius really.
Now for the bamboozle: it costs $799.99. That is not a typo. Pre-orders opened June 4, 2026, and the set ships globally on November 1, 2026. If you’re wondering why LEGO® sets are so expensive, this is the poster child — but a record-breaking build of one of the most famous buildings on Earth is going to be a grail piece for years. Fitting that the real Sagrada Família has been under construction since 1882 and you’ll be under construction on yours through the holidays.
What Made The 31203 World Map From The LEGO® Art Theme So Massive?
When gauging the size of the set, most LEGO® builders always choose piece-count. However, I like to have a bit more fun and bring dimensions into play as well. This set boasts an outrageous 11,695 LEGO® bricks, 26 inches high, and 41 inches wide. It held the crown as the biggest LEGO® set from 2021 all the way until June 2026 — a five-year reign. It is a beautiful, classical map of the world. It is much like the mercator projection, but flat! My favorite part? This map could easily be hung up for wall decor. It is nowhere near the cost of 90,000 LEGO® bricks…
This set also offers three possible ways to construct the outrageously large map. LEGO® never ceases to be a gift that keeps on giving! Heads up though — the World Map is now retired, so if you want the former champ, the secondary market is your only route.
The Third Largest LEGO® Set (And Still The Tallest): LEGO® Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower
I wrote about how the LEGO® Icons 10307 Eiffel tower was the tallest set ever made here. While not the largest by piece count (although it certainly looks like it could be). This intricate detailed set seems even more massive than the World Map. But, I assure you, when discussing piece count, the bigger sets stand supreme. I will say: it stands just shy of 5 feet tall! No other LEGO® set comes close on height — not even the new Sagrada Família.
The Fourth Biggest Set: LEGO Icons Titanic 9,090
This set comes in fourth place for the biggest LEGO® set on the market to date. But…again it seems like all these sets could easily take the top spot. This iconic boat The LEGO® Icons Titanic measures over 53 inches long, 17.5 inches tall, and 6 inches wide — I broke down the full LEGO® Titanic weight and size if you want the nitty gritty. Funnily enough, The Titan Sub failed to reach the real thing a few years ago…However, you can safely build this in your living room over the course of a few days. No need to explore the deep – ha! Plus, this titan of a LEGO® build is absolutely awesome as a piece that sits like artwork in your home.
Honorable Mentions: The Death Star, Colosseum, And Minas Tirith
The top four get all the glory, but the biggest LEGO® sets list keeps getting more stacked every year. The LEGO® Star Wars Death Star (75419) dropped in 2025 with 9,023 pieces — and while it misses the piece-count podium, it is the physically largest LEGO® set ever at 25.5 inches tall and 31 inches wide. It was also the first set to launch at a cool $999.99. Build LEGO®, not militaries…unless it’s the Death Star, apparently.
Right behind it sits the Colosseum (9,036 pieces), and the brand-new Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith (11377) just landed in June 2026 with 8,278 pieces. The trend is obvious: LEGO® keeps swinging bigger because us adult fans keep buying them. Fun contrast — while these monsters grab headlines, have you ever wondered what the smallest LEGO® piece is? The range is hilarious.
