Here’s a pro tip that veteran LEGO® collectors swear by: you can use a precision gram scale to identify which Collectible Minifigure (CMF) is inside a mystery bag before you buy it. To get the total amount of grams in a pound, we multiply (16 x 28.3) = 453 grams in a pound.
To get the amount of minifigures it would take to make a pound we divide the total grams in a pound divided by the total grams in a minifigure. This is (453 / 3) or a total of 151 LEGO® minifigures in a pound!
Of course, that’s for basic minifigs without accessories. Toss in some helmets, weapons, and capes and you’re looking at more like 90–120 minifigures per pound.
